Anna and her husband decided to submit their London home, Birkbeck, to Fresh Locations last autumn after being recommended to us by a friend.

They didn't know what to expect but had concerns about giving their home up for the day to people they didn’t know.

“As it turns out”, Anna said, “the process was incredibly straight forward. Fresh took us through every step, sent a photgrapher and added us to their London location library - we have already had two adverts shot at the house.”

“The teams we have had round are just so positive and lovely, one director even brought homemade brownies for the kids. They really do respect our home and put everything back as they found it.”

Anna recommends that anyone thinking of renting out their house as a location should plan the day in advance, and on the day give the production team space to work.

“Fresh provide a very tailored and family-friendly service and makes sure we get the shoots that work around our busy lifestyle. With a bit of planning, there is minimal disruption to day-to-day life.”

Deciding to go with one location agency has worked well for Anna, as Fresh are able to identify the right opportunities and are able to coordinate bookings carefully with her other commitments.

“They really know the house and focus on what matters to us. For example, the floors mark very easily, so Fresh makes sure the crew brings the right kind of protective equipment.”

The last shoot at the house was for the Waitrose Christmas television advert, “I remember the production team arrived early to start filming so the kids and I had breakfast upstairs, which they thought was great fun."

"But watching their eyes light-up when we got back to a snow-covered house will remain such a fond memory. They really thought Christmas had come early!”
