Unique mid-century style house with beautiful gardens which can be found in an idyllic rural location surrounded by fields. The house was designed in 1970 by the RIBA Royal Gold Medal architects Patty and Michael Hopkins. The timber frame house stands on the site which was formally workers cottages. The form of the house, including the long catslide roof and the timber cladding, gives it a traditional external appearance yet the layout inside is contemporary. The house has an abundance of natural light and is surrounded by woodland, an orchard, two ponds as well as a formal garden.
