Location Houses From Fresh Locations Library With Two Different Styles

London location agency Fresh Locations has a selection of film locations and photo shoot locations that each offer more than one contrasting interior look.

Our clients ask the Fresh Locations agency for an unbelievably wide array of briefs for shoot locations in London, for their film, television, drama, commercials and photo shoots. That’s good for us as it makes our job so interesting. One thing that we’re regularly asked to help out with is to provide houses that have more than one contrasting interior style. Clients tend to need them when they are trying to get two or more scenarios out of a single property, usually because the there’s a limited time frame. We find that these locations are most commonly requested when it’s a TV commercial – these shoots are often operating on a very tight turnaround.

Our shoot location library is carefully curated so that it is full of useful, high-quality shoot locations, in and around London. We’ve deliberately included lots of versatile houses that provide multiple interior looks and are able to create diverse scenes and bring different types of character to a shoot, without having to move locations or uproot the crew – saving valuable time and money.

Double up – two location house looks for the price of one? Fresh Locations library has some great location houses that offer two or more looks in one house – all under the same roof.

Shooters Hill

One location house, two looks can be seen in our ‘Shooters Hill’ location. Located opposite Blackheath Common in South East London, this very large family home is beautifully decorated with pops of colour and patterns. There is an open plan kitchen and living area with a separate double reception room, and a large garden with natural swimming pool.

Epsom Heath

‘Epsom Heath’, KT17 is another great shoot location within the M25 . A stately Grade II listed detached location house with a wonderful porticoed exterior. It’s full of charming Georgian period features in rooms that could be straight out of a Jane Austen novel and have been decorated in a way that reflects the history here, but is also deeply comfortable and relaxed. The kitchen is light and airy with Shaker influences while, the bedrooms are fresh and versatile. To the rear of the house, in complete contrast, is a contemporary extension with a cosy colourful vibe.

Montgomery

Also down south, in Twickenham, TW1, our ‘Montgomery’ shoot location has a jaw-dropping, architect-designed, double-height space to the rear of this Victorian house, featuring a graphic mix of blacks, whites and greys used with richly grained woods. We love the bold, blocky floating staircase and the kitchen island, complete with hob. As well as a living area down here, there’s a simple mid-century dining table and chairs, which are in total contrast with the separate dining room upstairs, that features quirky arts and crafts-style furniture and could work to convey a wide range of looks, from an older people’s home to artsy and bohemian, as could the adjoining living room.

Apothecary

Over in N6, ‘Apothecary’ is another cool shoot location in London. In this Georgian house there’s heaps of period character and an impressive extension featuring a minimalist, monolithic kitchen and adjoining living room / snug with design-led furniture in shades of green and yellow as well as a funky basement lounge with a Modern European look, a formal dining room with a unique period fireplace and an impressive main sitting room and master bedroom, both with lovely period coving – along with many other great rooms – you’ll be spoilt for choice.

Donovan

Also in North London, N10, you’ll find our ‘Donovan’ shoot location. This family home features a double living room with period coving, dado rails, fireplaces and wooden floors, with mid-20th Century furniture – which could easily be swapped out for a more traditional look. Meanwhile, behind a wide curtained entrance, there’s a simple, minimalist kitchen-dining space in gleaming white, with black details. Upstairs, as well as bright bedrooms, there’s a beautiful, sculptural freestanding bathtub in the bathroom and a vast white attic space.

Brondesbury Drive

Meanwhile, our ‘Brondesbury Drive’ London shoot location, in NW6, is very much a traditional 20th Century-style house of the kind it can be increasingly hard to track down. It has a warm, homely atmosphere, with a mix of quality antiques and art, alongside Mid-Century pieces and tan leather furniture, all across several reception rooms. There are also two different kitchens, one in rich, warm wood with an island hob and dining area, the other more down-to-earth and modern, featuring blonde wood and a tiled floor.

Blackheath

Finally, our beautiful ‘Blackheath’ shoot location is a large, detached family home with a huge garden in London, SE3. It has a relaxed, lived-in atmosphere and the original house blends period features with colour and pattern. The contemporary kitchen is white and ultra-simple, with a blackboard wall and a vast island featuring both a hob and a sink. The adjoining living room is thematically linked to the main house’s various reception rooms, through rich colour but the overall effect is very different and could easily be a completely different house – which is just what so many of our clients are looking for.
